I've been a fan since Pies Descalzos.
My family used to love Shakira up until she "sold out" according to them. So her first two albums were always being played. I began my obsession during
Laundry Service. It was her first English album and it was my language and i was able to understand it completely. My family became Christian around 2005 and they despised how much i listened to Shakira. I had
Fijacion Oral and
Oral Fixation to listen to around that time. They believed Shakira was one of the biggest satan worshippers to live. I attended a Christian retreat (only because my dad said he would buy me anything i wanted if i went) and they had a whole section of the retreat dedicated to Shakira's "satan worshipping". I obviously didn't stop listening to her though.
She Wolf then came out years upon years later and i was back with her.
Sale El Sol followed the following year and to my surprise my family adored
Rabiosa. and now we have
Shakira. I'm sure they've heard me bumping it these past few days.
