I watched it for the first time a couple days ago going into it with an excited & hopeful mindset, but I was left completely disappointed. The character's weren't as likeable & fun to root for like previous Disney successes, the musical numbers lacked charm, & even the animation was underwhelming.
The songs aren't as good as real Disney classics (but everyone's pretending like they are), and people act like it's the most progressive and feminist Disney movie ever (when it's not).
The Little Mermaid (queen of Disney soundtracks) and Lilo and Stitch (queen of Disney progressiveness) and Mulan (queen of Disney feminism) all did it first + better
People are biased and love negativity. People hate on it because they think it's cool to be negative and opinionated. Honestly, when I hear someone going on and on about how something is bad or they hate it. It makes me not want to be around them anymore. I would rather be around someone who finds the good in everything rather than the bad. Yeah maybe it's not the best movie ever but you'd have to be stupid to think that there is nothing of value in this movie. Elsa teaches you how to love yourself, Ana teaches you how to love others, Olaf teaches you how to look on the bright side of life, and the story is simple enough for a whole family to enjoy to get all of these messages to as many people as possible. Maybe if you did not spend so much time talking about all the bad things, you would actually see the things the film can bring in to your life.
The movie and soundtrack are complete trash. However the scene in the gif in the OP is the only good scene and drives me to tears. The complete silence and Elsa's crying is absolutely stunning
Maybe because it sucks
And the people who bash others for being "threatened" are the ones who stan for success. If this movie wasn't so successful most of you wouldn't even care about it.

Majority of people on ATRL are teens/early 20's and grew up on disney. We definitely would of cared about it. I was posting in the Frozen thread before the movie even came out.
