Nothing really. It looked like a typical animated Disney film to me.

Mmmhmm. Just pretend Elsa's magic is homosexual feelings.
She was told to 'conceal don't feel'
She was afraid of what society what think if they found out.
When society found out her powers they thought it was unnatural and wanted to capture her.
She finally found the courage to let it go, let go all the negativity, all the stereotypes.
No matter what happened Anna was always there for her because she knew Elsa couldn't control it.

Just think about it. It all makes sense

It seems like an average Disney movie to me Still haven't seen it yet though.

It sucks, has plotholes everywhere, terrible music and a nonsense plotline while the others have ... quality?

Because of the ending. It was one of the only Disney films to not have the typical, "Princess falls in love with Prince and lives happily ever" after endings. This movie had strong underlying messages in feminism and homosexuality. Elsa's whole self-acceptance story line and Anna not needing a man to end up happily ever after.

It was like a classic Disney film with a modern twist.

The fact that it clocks other Disney princess movies in the beginning when Anna and Hans get engaged after a day.

The fact that Elsa was a strong positive female character who's story didn't depend on a man at all.

The fact that Disney put thought into the movie and shocked audiences with the Hans twist.

The fact that the key to saving Anna wasn't dependent on love from a man, but form her sister.

And the fact that Let It Go as well as the other songs are easily the best Disney songs since at least Tarzan.

It's a really positive movie with strong empowering things, especially for girls. It's a cute Disney movie that children like but also has a really strong message, and that's not something that a lot of animated films have.

The potent tea.

None of the 2010's Disney animated movies got panned Frozen channels renaissance era Disney and is just a really great film with great songs the whole family can enjoy.

No it didn't

Frozen is successful because it follows Disney's real forumla, semi-tragic story with musical numbers in it at pivotal moments. If Frozen had no songs, (which many people thought in the early stages) it would have flopped. There was next to no interest in Frozen until musical numbers were revealed. People love classic Disney with singing involved. It came during holiday season which is the best time to get something viral (like a movie which everyone would have the time to watch with family). The plot could have had a stupid message and the movie still would have done as good because good musical numbers and great release timing made Frozen the monster it is.

In short:
- Musical numbers (Disney forumla teas).
- Perfect release time, coincides with plot too.
