X Factor judge Louis Walsh has tipped Ellie Goulding to join the show's panel.
Walsh - who has appeared in all ten series of the ITV singing competition - will be reunited with returning judges Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole when the programme begins its 11th series later this year.
When asked who was in the running to fill the final judging seat, Walsh told The Sun: "I've heard Ellie Goulding. I just hope it's a girl."
X Factor creator Cowell announced he was returning to the UK series in February, after a three-year absence while he appeared on the US version of the show.
Cole confirmed her involvement with this year's show on Twitter earlier this month.
The singer originally appeared on the X Factor for three years between 2008 and 2010.
Cowell recently revealed that the Girls Aloud star will have influence over who the fourth judge will be, saying: "I'm not going to put somebody next to her who she hates."
Goulding is already a friend of the The X Factor, having appeared twice on last year's series.
The 27-year-old performed 'Burn' on the first live show last year, and returned for the final to duet with contestant Luke Friend.
