It is for the UK, quite an irregular occurrence that a girl of 15 would be shot by 3 men. It's breaking news.
Other countries may see this as everyday life, but we don't over here.

Yeah it is super rare here, guns are hardly heard of at all.

You can't compare European countries to a country where they can get guns in a supermarket.
When almost everybody has guns, it's much easier to grab it and use it in anger.
Therefore American cops are distrusting people and will shoot first with the same amount of bullets for arresting 1 unarmed man as all police officers in Germany would use in an entire year.
The Americans thinking "this isn't news" just shows the problem with their gun laws.
Yeah, our laws are pathetic.
Coming from one of the most liberal cities in the U.S., I definitely believe in Japanese-style gun control for the U.S. Unfortunately a lot of conservatives disagree and have prevented that from happening.
