Well now you just look really uninformed. The south probably has the lowest concentration of Amish communities, they're all more centralized around North Eastern / some Mid Western states (think Pennsylvania)
Perhaps you should just refrain from making generalized comments about a country you don't know much about?
Anyway, Texas should have no votes. Not the perfect state by any means, but our economy is arguably the best in America right now and most of what people think of our state is a gross misconception. It's a Southern state but much less 'South' than say Louisiana, Mississippi, or Alabama. Then there are states like West Virginia (I visit often, my family is from there) and Kentucky.. that's a different story

But I'm from Houston (birthplace of Beyoncé) so maybe I'm a little biased
