At this point I couldn't give a crap about GUY's placement - this MV just better be amazing and then it'll hold me until the tour with maybe the odd GUY TV performance or two. I streamed the hell out of Applause and it felt so moronic afterwards If it bombs oh well, if it does well then fantastic but everyone will still consider AP an epic fail for Gagz.
I always look at it this way: If a song is going to blow up from streaming, it will happen organically. While my personal streaming may give a song some extra juice, its not going to make a difference in the end.
Applause only got like 3-4 million US streams last time
Applesauce did 6 million streams its first big streaming week.
Considering this is a bigger release (as far as MV's, not the whole single lol) and Dope did 8 mil with that forced ad, I'd say 7-9 million from Monday thru Sunday isn't unreasonable for G.A.Y., and more could be in order if it's good enough or gets enough press!
Billboard said nothing about having to watch the entire video.
But Youtube & VEVO both said: if the video starts = 1 view.
Edit: Well, apparently someone did.
The formula has been a mess since the initiation of streaming. "generally speaking" basically means they can make the formula whatever they want to influence the chart.
And I really don't think that "must be played all the way through" thing is through. BB has no way of getting that data in time for their weekly chart, nor is it possible to tell the difference between someone watching 76-100% of the video (YT simply cannot measure that).
Music not the charts. Music not the charts. Music not the charts. Music not the charts. Music not the charts. Music not the charts. Music not the charts. Music not the charts. Music not the charts. I repeat:

I agree. No one can know if you watch the video entirely or not.
and again, YT & Vevo both said if you play a video and refreshes the page 2 secs later, it will still count as one view, even if you've watched 2 sec.
Music not the charts. Music not the charts. Music not the charts. Music not the charts. Music not the charts. Music not the charts. Music not the charts. Music not the charts. Music not the charts. We can love the music and still be interested in the charts. I was a G stan before I was a chart junkie, but I'm still both.
Music not the charts. Music not the charts. Music not the charts. Music not the charts. Music not the charts. Music not the charts. Music not the charts. Music not the charts. Music not the charts. Well the we got the music and it was not up to par anyway!
