I think the label buys the album to get this publicity.
Um, no.
I dont why people are acting suprised, Lil Wayne is HUGE right now, i just knew he would sell like 700k from name and status alone. And his album is f*cking brilliant so its well deserved <333
Definitely no surprise there. Almost everyone seems to be hypnotized by his ass at the moment (key word= "the moment"). It's funny how he's been around for years and ppl are suddenly hyping him up now. Congrats to him, but I won't be jumping on the Lil Wayne banwagon.

See, this would normally be the spot where I agree with the majority and be all like, "Yeah, Weezy is a joke", but Pitchfork, the same Pitchfork that is tougher on grading albums than just about anyone else, gave Tha Carter III an 8.7. AN 8.7!!
I can't stand "Lollipop", but if freaking Pitchfork gave this a high mark, then I might just check it out after all.
Lollipop isnt even one of the standout tracks on the cd imo, i think he just released that to crossover to pop but seriously he has more #1 songs about to come!
YES. "Lollipop" is amazing but it really didn't stand out too much, I mean it's not like the only hit on this album. He has so many more to come, HE IS HERE TO STAY.
