The review embargo for anticipated PS4 exclusive inFamous Second Son was lifted yesterday. 61 critics across the globe voiced their opinions and the overall consensus seems to be 'good, but not great or anything special'. Several reviews expressed dismay over the game's lack of ambition; it seems no new ground was tread from previous games in the series. inFamous currently stands at an 80/100 on metacrltic. When you consider how inFamous was hyped up to be the first must-own PS4 game, an 80 score isn't quite cutting it. The game further disappoints when you compare it to the console exclusives competing consoles Wii U and Xbox One are providing. Titanfall released the other day, Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, and Super Mario 3D World have scores of 86, 83, and 93, respectively.

inFamous may be a cute game and all but the answer to the question "when will the first great PS4 title be released" unfortunately remains unknown at this time.

If the second son is anything like the previous infamous games then it is a MUST OWN. I recently beat infamous 2 again and that game is incredible

80 isn't low. And Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze with his 83 score is not going to change the bad situation that Wii U is in. How many Wii U units have been sold exactly?

I think two of them failed to meet expectations

First and foremost gamers just want a game that is fun. If its part of a franchise the game needs hold true to the aesthetics of the original but still bring something new. Infamous 2 built upon the first and from what I've seen second son does the same. by the way 80 is a great score and most players don't care about scores anyways

If this applies to you, then why did you find it so funny that DKC happens to be enjoyed by children?

It's a good score but a bit underwhelming. Oh well, I'll be waiting for Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts 3 to have release dates before I purchase mine. So I am assuming 2150 at the earliest.

The last one is a remake of one of the biggest SNES games, so people are going to praise it just for the nostalgia factor.

I mean, I understand Sony obviously has you fuming... but as much as to making it seem like 80 is even remotely close to low or underwhelming? The highest rated infamous game is 85 (and that was the one that made infamous big) so LETS NOT.

Um I’m playing the game right now and the anticipation was not for nothing.. this game slays. so they can keep their dusty, non-valid, irrelevant opinions. also not them saying an 80 is low BYE
