Umm i said GP doesn't care that doesn't mean singers don't hit it . They don't know what these fancy words are and they would be least bothered to . Unless and untill they sound pleasant to the ear they will be just fine .
It's a fact that still stands today. She still needs a vocal arranger to help her in studio recording. Very few artists are blessed with the musical ears for melodies and harmonies. Rihanna isn't one of them.

TBH.... If you were talking to me about this in 2005 I would have told you that beyonce was a 9 and Rihanna was a 3.
But Right Now Beyonce is an 8 and Rihanna is a 7.5 and sometimes even an 8 too.
And Im sorry if people are bitter. But Beyonce just doesnt sound as good as she used to and Rihanna has improved A LOT

First of all, there was a thread like a month ago about whose voice hasn't degraded and Bey was the most voted person by far. She hasn't declined AT ALL when it comes to singing, especially considering the high notes she can hit today with ease.
The fact is, she can joke around with her voice with the amount of control she has in it. Rihanna can't.
