I'm happy for them because it seemed that Wind Up was really controlling. However, I hope she decides to stay with Evanescence and they make a new album soon. The gap was painful between The Open Door and their last album; plus they kept hinting that they weren't sure if they would make another album together. But they did and it was awesome. It had so much potential to have many hits but there was so little promotion that no one but the fans knew they had a new CD out.
Now Amy is hinting again that she "doesn't know if or when her band will make another album together." But she said that last year before the lawsuit with Windup so who knows? Maybe know that they're free, they will indeed get back together.
Either way, even if she goes solo I will still continue to support her. Her talent is out of this world and she deserves to stay relevant in today's music industry. I just hope she doesn't do a ballad-only piano album now that she's gonna be a mom.

Amy hinted sometime during the end of the "Evanescence (album)" era that she was interested to focus more on digital released EP's rather than albums, if I remember right
