Janet portrayed sexuality in a different way. Some of you don't realize just how iconic her janet. era is. Her evolving from an innocent teen to a sex vixen shocked the public and no one expected it. It set the trend for all the other females who followed after, including Bey.

Not quite. Janet represented sexual evolution from an innocent image to a sex symbol, which is much more replicated than the way Madonna did it. Bey also followed the blueprint Janet started with her sexuality..even on her latest album, critics compared the more sexual songs to The Velvet Rope.
