Jake., HotNCold, the good sis. It truly is unfortunate to see you go now; you've truly come quite
an impressively long way, going from top to bottom almost the entire game... the only one with 3
violations, yet you've been in the Golden Trinity so many times, as well. It's been nice having you
around this season, you were a great addition to our cast... hope to see you around!
A T R L ' s H O L Y T R I N I T Y Highlights: Round Nine
Sebas Michael & Janet Jackson ▲ Scream Madonna ▲ Vogue Beyoncé ▲ Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)
Re-entering the Golden Trinity for this round is Sebas, whose Black & White theme worked
out in his favor. No colors are necessary to describe the impact, artistic value and pure slayage
that were delivered in these three music videos. This trinity acts as an effective showcase for
grayscale music videos and their place in our world.

Quote:
Michael Jackson & Janet Jackson - Scream
Both song and video are response to the backlash Michael Jackson received from the media in 1993 due to the child sexual abuse accusations. Janet Jackson wanted to be involved with the project as a show of sibling support. The production cost of the video was over $7 million, making it one of the most expensive videos of all time
Madonna - Vogue
One of Madonna's most iconic songs/videos. Even tho It was released +20 years ago, we can still see its impact in recent times. (See: Lady Gaga - Alejandro). The choreography, the outfits and everything was perfect.
Beyoncé - Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)
It's a very simple video, but that didn't stop it to become a phenomenon. Many artists have made their own version, from Joe Jonas to Justin Timberlake.
Musickid203 Chris Brown f/Justin Bieber ▲ Next to You Nicki Minaj ▲ Your Love R. Kelly ▲ Trapped In the Closet
Chasing the taste of gold, Musickid203 bounds to the top this round with a "Story" theme.
Such a theme can be done wrong or done excellently - the latter was the case for this one!
Sticking true to his urban taste, Musickid put his usual twist on this trinity, spitting out three narrative
story-line music videos about fighting and... well... hiding for love. A truly unique set.

Kyle. No Doubt ▲ Looking Hot Madonna ▲ Like A Prayer M.I.A. ▲ Born Free
Enjoying his first Golden Trinity placement, Kyle. shone through this round, going with a
"controversy" theme - one that can work quite well in conjunction with music videos. Spanning from
racism to religious conflict, this trinity showcases some of the most controversial song / music video
combinations of both recent and past years, as well as some important statements made by musicians.

CONTROVERSY
RACISM NO DOUBT - LOOKING HOT
This music video was removed by the band the day after it's release due to a highly negative reaction from the general public. The video caused controversy because of it's stereotypical representation of a Native American, specifically Gwen's scenes. Along with the removal of the video, No Doubt released an apology stating how the video was not meant to be hurtful. The American Indian Studies Center said that the video was "rife with imagery that glorifies aggression against Indian people, and, most disturbingly, denigrates and objectifies Native women through scenes of sexualized violence."
RELIGION MADONNA - LIKE A PRAYER
What would a 'Most Controversial Music Videos' list be without the most controversial popstar of all time, Madonna Louise Ciccone? In the video, Madonna is a witness of a black girl's murder by white supremacists, and while a black man is being arrested for the crime, she hides in a church contemplating whether or not to go forth as a witness of the murder. The video wouldn't be complete without the infamous scenes of Ku Klux Klan-esque cross burning. The Vatican, of course, condemned the video. Religious families protested against the video and boycotted Pepsi, the product she just got an endorsement with and would quickly lose because of this video's controversy. Apart from all of the negativity this video created, it proved that Madonna was a smart businesswoman who knew how to market herself.
MURDER M.I.A - BORN FREE
This video is arguably the most controversial video out of the three; it even has its own Wikipedia page! It depicts a genocide against red-haired people, and it was filmed without the approval from M.I.A's record label(s). The graphic military hating clip had some positive critical reception, but for the most part, it was hated by viewers internationally because of the explicit material the video portrays. It was removed from YouTube a day within its posting, and all of the other uploads were either removed as well or restricted to 18+. M.I.A commented on this removal stating that it was ridiculous to remove a fictional movie showing murder when the same site allows uploads of real murder.
