You do realize that the phrase "put a ring on it" has been used for decades way before SL when talking about marriage right?

The use of the phrase from your receipts has nothing to do with Beyonce's song since she did not actually create the phrase. Therefore, it is not iconic from Beyonce, unless the phrase actually correlates with her song, or atleast in the manner of how she sings it.
