Not surprising.
And these shows have lost their appeal. I don't know why people participate and I don't know why people watch.
The Voice is definitely the worst. 2 winners every year??? None of them get to shine before being overshadowed by another contestant.
All reality shows are like this, trust me. Producers want it to be as interesting as possible so they'll squeeze that drama out anyway they can. When I still used to watch American Idol I would get so sick of every damn person having some emotional dramatic backstory that they overcame to be there, like just stand there and sing, I don't need to hear about your personal struggles and crying. But that's what gets people to vote for them
Every single show is like this. Shows aren't going to let someone win if they don't think that someone is going to go on to make a lot of money or make it big. Despite being all about "the voice", it also about marketability.
I remember something similar with BBUK last year. Gina was the favourite to win, and it had more or less been confirmed by the public. Then suddenly, Sam won, who had to have been the most contestant in the shows history. However, he had a hearing deficiency and was a nice guy, and that's what producers want to flog.
