Vocoder and auto tunes sound so good. I love t-pain's songs

I think that in some songs, it improves them quite a bit: Cher's "Believe," Snoop Dogg's "Sensual Seduction," Janet's "Feedback." Those songs are meant to sound a bit robotic, that's their theme. However, in some, like most of T-Pain's work, it's bad.

T-Pain uses a vocoder to digitize his voice. He calls it his 'signature' sound.

Auto-tune is used for pitch correction (it uses a vocoder).

Cher's Believe was the best single of that year. And from the 90s she started using auto-tunes. Is it because she's old and her vocal can't be strong like before?

I don't mind autotune/vocodor whatever, as long as its not overused. Singers who aren't that great need it, like Britney or Madonna, but thankfully they don't overdo it on their albums. You barely notice it. But T-Pain....yeah someone needs to confiscate his.
