It's a great album and it's getting the praise it deserves. C'mon ATRL, give credit where it's due, I'm talking about every artist in the world, it gets tiring to see all the tryhard, weak and stale shade everywhere.
I finally got into unapologetic in full. Obviously i was aware of Diamonds & stay and the forgettable singles that followed but my God, loveeee song is in a class of its own as is love without tragedy. That shd've been a full song. I enjoy almost every song bar about 3 or so
The merging of the Navy and Hive is drawing closer...
To me it's overrated in the sense that most of the album consists of the same concept of a previous Beyonce song. The only song to really show growth to me is Haunted and Ghost.

I like a lot of y'all. Especially the ones who can still be honest and still stan hard for their fav. Some of the navy tho(a few in this thread) same with the hive.
I don't think it's overrated at all, but I do think the genius marketing overshadowed the music. Its honestly just opinion based. 4 remains my favorite Bey album

Not at all, I still listen to this album in full almost daily and are not bored of it which I've never experienced with anyones albums including Bey. I've never been able to choose one favourite album of all time but now I can. It's just perfect
The reason it IS successful is because it's such an amazing album and had great word-of-mouth. Its critical success translated into commercial success, not vice versa.
