It's their culture and it's part of the reason why they are so far before 1st world countries. It all comes down to corruption imo

Hmmmm... Are Thailand and Philippines third world? Those two seem very gay friendly to me. Middle East is definitely not gay friendly!

Not corruption but religion. Religion still has a HUGE influence in there.

It's not just third world countries girl.

But anyway, it's probably cuz most of these people still live by their traditions and cultures. And in the past most cultures were against homosexuality, so that's pretty much why. Also they are less likely to have access to media like the internet, so generally their awareness about homosexuality isn't very high.

I don't blame them tbh.

Name a third world country (apart from South Africa) which treats LGBT people as equal to their straight counterparts, though.

South Africa is NOT a third world country

I know that we will find hate for them in every country, even US or Western Europe but I'm still hearing how Uganda or Nigeria is putting gays to jails.

I think it's because politicians wanted to do something that is accepted by almost 100% of their country's population so that they can keep on stealing money.

I hope that the rich countries will refuse to help these countries financially.

It's just a side effect of European colonization.

Wait... we're speaking of third world countries that hate gay people. I don't think every country that hates them (gays) belongs to the third world.

For example, my own country - Poland is among 30 best developed countries and is very anti - gay.
