According to my Book of World records 2008 which I own, the poorest country is Malawi & Somalia located in Africa, with gross domestic products of just $600 & Romania is not even on the list



The richest country is NOT the U.S it's actually Luxemburg which is a very small country located in the western part of Europe. It has a gross domestic product of $65,900 per person

poverty is a serious issue there
of course there are better regions there, but some of the regions especially in the mountains are very poor and I felt sorry for the people who live there
