Lol. Parents trying to "talk" to their kids is one of the reasons why children today have no respect for authority. While the father in the video went too far, sometimes just "explaining" to them what they did wrong isn't enough.

Not always. Kids can and often take examples from other kids rather than their parents.
I really don't understand anyone who thinks belting your own kids is a bad thing if done only occasionally and only on specific situations. If that daughter is really scared of her dad, then he's doing the right thing if she ends up being more responsible. Sure she'll resent him for a time but she'll end up being grateful later.
Also, better a strict parent who'll beat you down when you screw up bad than a parent who doesn't care AT ALL.
Ass beatings are good parenting in my book. Of course there's more to it than that, but when your kid is acting three crazy, sometimes you gotta beat the crap out of them to make room for some sense in there.
