Do you hold the door open for people? Do you take your hat off at the dinner table? Do you say 'Yes sir' and 'Yes mam'?


I'm asking cuz I sometimes fear for our generation. Some of us are getting just straight ignorant and are lackign respect and common courtesy.

I do. But at the same time, just because someone is older than me I won't let them wind me up/ play with me. Like, just because your at the last part of your life it doesn't mean you are a walking corpse.

I'm essentially OCD about my manners. They were beaten into me by my parents, and I thank them every day for it.

I hold the door for people, unless they're more than 50 feet away from the door. I don't have time to wait for them, tbh. I don't wear hats often. I don't say yes, sir or ma'am. I try to be as polite as I can be, like saying thank your, excuse me or you're welcome.

Yes I do however when I moved to the USA I had to fix some things, some of y'all are oversensitive

I'm usually polite and helpful to people with little things but I'm less likely to do things that seem too formal to me like referring to people as "sir" or "ma'am"

Nahhhh. Make sure to get the door before it cracks you in the mouth. I no longer hold doors for people since I'm never thanked for holding them.
