If art was just whatever anyone wanted it to be then the word would be completely meaningless. The performance was art and fits the definition of art perfectly well, that doesn't mean you have to like it or even find it good or creative.

To me you have to do more than just something weird and different to be an "artist". I could drop my pants on stage and take a dump. Doesn't make me an artist.
That's just my opinion. Sure, other people will find it art. I just strongly disagree.
