Theo James from 'Divergent' Could Be Your Next Ryan Gosling
Theo James is gaining plenty of press these days for his role in the highly-anticipated dystopian sci-fi film Divergent with co-star Shailene Woodley. You might also recognize the dapper 29-year-old British actor from the short-lived CBS crime drama The Golden Boy and an episode of Downton Abbey (in which his role as a Turkish diplomat causes an entire season of scandal).
If the name Theo James doesn't quite ring a bell (yet), it might be time to finally get him on your radar. Aside from Divergent, he'll be starring in London Fields with Amber Heard and Billy Bob Thornton, and the indie drama Franny alongside Dakota Fanning later this year. From what we know about the actor, he's sweet, funny, musically gifted, and extremely good looking — heck, we might as well go so far as to dub him the "Next Ryan Gosling." (Now, if James could get his own viral meme, he'd really have it made).
To celebrate this beautiful rising star, here are all the reasons this swoonworthy actor is your next big crush:
He looks great soaking in a bathtub...
And, of course, he looks equally great shirtless:
And his steamy kisses? They put that kiss from The Notebook to shame.
Is it getting hot in here or is it just me?
Now that you know that James has clearly achieved sexy beast status, let's move on to his talents.
He can eat raw eggs on late night TV (just for the hell of it) and still look adorable:
He can do wonderful things with his magical, well-groomed eyebrows:
And, Piņatas — they're clearly no match for him:
He also looks amazing with some clever photoshop work:
And he really knows how to get the party started:
He looks great dressed up...
... Or dressed down:
He's also got some mad harmonizing skills. Take that, Dead Man's Bones.
Yup, Theo James is clearly ready to give Gosling a run for his money in the "hunk" department. Can you dig it, because we most definitely can.
every time an actor is branded as the next someone it never happens. remember when Taylor Kitsch was branded the next Brad Pitt? look how that turned out. plus Divergent will probably flop. it's good that the movie is getting a lot of press because it's nice to see a female led movie be a success, but can't they advertise, you know, the movie? instead putting pressure on actors to be the next this and the next that (they are doing the same thing with Shailene and Jen Lawrence)
