Perhaps the United States has made progress because of all the work other countries did before. It's a hell of a lot easier finding a plane when most of the area has already been looked at and you join when the investigation is going full throttle.

They've looked everywhere except the indian ocean where the US is looking now which is like the deepest and most complex in the world tho
For anything to get done? I mean, they've made more progress toward finding the plane in one day than it took the lessors in two weeks
