Read "1984" and "Brave New World." I'm not just trying to be controversial. I have a lot of respect for the trash that the Muslim community has put up with, especially in a whitewashed culture fearing post-9/11 world, but I don't believe they deserve special treatment in situations that nobody bats an eyelash over when it comes to other religions. It would be like if South Park was worried about offending group X and never mentioned them again even though the premise of that show is inclusivity in their comedy.

I actually understand what you're saying, and honestly you make a good point. I somewhat agree, but the Quran is something that muslims don't mess with themselves, let alone people outside of the religion, and I just don't think it should be up to CL/YG/Teddy (take your pick) to force that progression. It just seemed a bit pointless... like, apart from being aesthetically pleasing, what was the point of including the Quran?
I don't think they did it intentionally (as in "let's be controversial", evidenced by YG taking out the samples), I think they included it because it sounded cool without realising what is acceptable and what is not in terms of what they were actually sampling. If they actually had an idea in mind of making a statement with the sample then what you're saying would be a lot more applicable but this is all just unnecessary drama for YG.
