I was thinking like 400k, that seems fair. The only reason Kanye did 900k is because of the 50 Cent match up. If it wasn't for that, he would've done significantly less, say 600k.

Lil Wayne at the most will do 550K. If he was in a 50/Kanye situation he could have been able to do 750K to 900K.

Lil Wayne won't do a million, I honestly don't think he'll do more than 400k. His type of fanbase, hip-hop fans, will bootleg the **** out of this album.

They will bootleg, but also buy like they did for 50, Kanye, and Jay-Z.

50, Kanye, and Jay-Z aren't comparable to Lil Wayne, IMO.

Not to mention that he's being called the best rapper in the game. Now you can agree with that or not. I don't agree with that, but people are gonna be influenced that he's called the best, and that might bring sales up for him.

I really, reeeaallly don't see all this 'hype' many people see for Lil Wayne. He's having a hit, so what? It's not like it would be the first time a big hit single doesn't equal huge album sales.

So what? Madonna is called the Queen of Pop, and she barely did 290,000 in her first week, with an equally successful hit as "Lollipop". Also his last two albums went Platinum, I doubt he'll outsell them just cause its been so long. If he opens big the first week, he won't have longevity. Open moderately, he'll last a while. People are hyping it up too much I believe.

Lollipop is a WAY bigger hit then 4 Minutes. However I learned from Low and Flo Rida, so we'll see how it goes.

At this moment he has Got Money #7, Lollipop #8, Lollipop Remix #11, You Ain't Got Nuthin #17, A Milli #35 on I-Tune downloads. That is nuts he already has 4 singles out and the album hasn't even come out yet and they all look successful

The only thing is that Lil Wayne was already an established rapper before Tha Carter III. Why do you think it's so anticipated?

^ YEAH, Wayne is no Flo Rida or Soulja Boy.
Trust me, his album will sell more than 300k , he's not some old ringtone rapper.

Well Flo Rida sold WAY below my expectations, while Soulja Boy sold WAY above my expectations. Flo Rida is a better rapper, hitmaker, and yet he can barely sell 250K, while Soulja Boy might get the platinum plague any day now.

I disagree.
And I'm not saying Lil Wayne is a newcomer, he may very well sell over 300k, or even 400k, but I don't see how he could sell a million when, let's say, Usher, couldn't do that.

^ because Lil Wayne has about the same amount of fan power as KANYE WEST right now. Usher is a singer, it's WHOLE diffrent look.
