When people donate they expect most of their money will go to actually helping people, not exuberant operating expenses. Raising money isn't a laudable act, it's what it's for and how well it is spent.
Also many celebrities give, they just don't trumpet the fact.
And don't come for the average person as if they're not doing anything, as studies show they give more as a percentage of their income than wealthy people.
