Tributes of the 3rd Annual Hunger Games - the Capitol salutes you and your bravery and wishes you the best of luck in this year's Games. You are currently en route to the ATRL Arena, and in a matter of minutes will be entering the game.

A bit on the Arena:

This year's Arena's theme is POPGIRL PARADISE. Here, you'll find six sections of distinct landscapes inspired by the biggest and brightest pop girls. But what dangers lurk beyond the surface in this seemingly beautiful paradise? Only time will tell...

The 6 sections are:

Beyonce's Bayou (a swampy section inhabited by vine covered Grammy awards and a Creole voodoo vibe)
Gaga's Glacier (an arctic tundra filled with frozen meats and a broken down BTW castle)
Britney's Beach (just your standard, basic beach - with discarded bags of Cheetos littering the shores)
Rihanna's Ravine (a lush green and rocky terrain, Rihanna's favourite herb grows here...is anyone surprised?)
Katy's Knoll (a Candyland/Outer Space/80s Party/African Safari/Geisha Girl/Witchy/Egyptian themed madhouse. Will your sanity survive?)
P!nk's Praries (flat lands on which nobody walks, the only way to move around this section is the acrobatic devices attached to the arena roof. Good luck)

Tributes...in a matter of seconds you will be ejected into the Arena, and the Games shall begin. Information to follow on instructions for the first Night.

LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!!

Upon entering the Arena, you can't help but notice the darkness that surrounds you. You've heard rumours, but now you know it's true - this year's Arena is engulfed in permanent night. Previous seasons have seen alternating Day and Night periods, but fed up with the inactivity during Day periods, the Gamemakers have decided to do away with it and instead have Tributes fight under the constant dark cloak of night. Speaking of which...this signals the start of...

NIGHT 1

INSTRUCTIONS ON NIGHT ACTIVITIES:

***PLEASE READ!***

In your alliance, it's time to decide who will be doing what tonight. Your options are as follows:

- HIDE (if you choose to hide, you must specify which of the 6 sections you are hiding in. Remember, you cannot hide for more than 2 nights in a row - ie, if you hide on nights 1 and 2, you CANNOT hide on night 3)

or

- HUNT (if you choose to hunt, you must specify who you are hunting for, and in which of the 6 sections).

If the person you are hunting is HIDING in that same section: 25% chance of killing them, 25% chance of injuring them, and 50% chance of missing the mark (decided by online randomizer)

If the person you are hunting is ALSO HUNTING in that same section: 50% chance of killing them, 50% chance of injuring them)

Once a Tribute sustains 4 injuries, they die.

Remember, alliances are informal - meaning if it's your strategy, you could plan with your alliance to do one thing, but actually do another. Because Night Actions are sent to me in PM form, nobody else will know, and I will not reveal who did what until the end of the game.

To accomodate users from all time zones, Night periods will run anywhere from 24-48 hours. If after 24 hours everyone is in, I will process night actions and update. I will wait up to 48 hours however. After 48 hours I will update, and anyone who did not submit an action will die.

When you're ready to submit your Night Action, please PM it to me (and only me!) in the following format:

I want to HUNT/HIDE _______(name of who you're hunting, if you are hunting) in _______ (name of section)
