I would buy all my music on iTunes if it was cheaper. I am happy paying $10 an album when they're discounted. I would pay this price for other albums if they were this price all the time. (Usually an album is $17 on iTunes AU store).

Also, most American TV Shows don't air in Australia until months later, some don't even air at all. And I have no interest in paying like $3 just to watch a tv show on iTunes.

It's hard to be a ****ing supporter. I have to SHIP my CDs from New York City to Manila. Paying the CD, taxes, bank conversion cost, shipping fee and labor fee for crying out loud. Dedication right there brahs.

It's completely true. 90% of the music I pirate is Japanese, and their industry goes OUT OF THEIR WAY to make it unavailable for purchase in America.

It's true though. Digital content should not cost the same price as physical content.

And the entertainment industry is going to have to realize that there's no way to combat piracy and that trying to fight it is a waste of time.

edit: And the availability thing is so true as well. Most of the stuff I have to download is stuff I cannot purchase here in the US.

There is a market for CDs. It's just too expensive.

I think CDs should cost $10. They should also get rid of Standard and Deluxe since that is just utter ******** trying to milk people. Make all of them available in the CD.

Digital should cost 7 at most since there's no ****ing cost in uploading to iTunes other than royalties and space fees.

If they do this, they will lose a bit of profit per CD but they'd benefit more with the sales of the album as a whole.

Cutting down costs = more buyers, low profit per product, same or higher overall profit overall.



Remember the 10 most illegally downloaded albums in 2011?

Femme Fatale was number 1 with nearly 9 million downloads. How much did it sell? 1.8 Million. I'm not saying all those 9 Million people would buy the album but a lot of them will buy it if the cost is low or at the very least, reasonable.

absolutely untrue. People just have to manage their money better. Music used to be something that people would appreciate because you had to purchase it. now everyone steals it so it has almost no value to anyone.

Plenty of people still appreciate music but can't afford to purchase it. I'd love to buy more music, but I simply can't afford it (I don't download either, that Proud Family episode about illegal downloading HAUNTS me).

I think everybody should try Google Play.

That's very true. The internet is designed for free content, it will find a way to be free whether people try to stop it or not. If there was a way to accurately tally up how much revenue has been lost through piracy, I wonder what that value would be. I think if the government knew....ooh boy.

I've seen albums priced €20 and I'm sure as hell not going to pay that! 'D pay a max of €10 for an album
