Back in her Wizards days, I thought Selena was a great comedy actress. Her timing was good and she always had great chemistry with her co-stars. I haven't seen a lot of her films, but from what I have seen, she's decent.

Nah, no one really hypes her acting besides her Stans obviously. She's a good actress & a lot of people can agree on that but I have never seen anyone try to say she's on the same level as JLaw.

Her recent movie choices have been pretty poor. Spring Breakers was great though! If she can get some really good written roles & put her heart into it, she can do great.

No, she's pretty good, she just needs more training and better scripts.

She is a great comedic actress. I think she should audition for comedic roles that is her forte and gain some respect so she can get better scripts in other genres, but for some dumb reason it looks like she is avoiding them/be known as comedic actress

she's good.better as an actress thats where her talent lyes but its w/e she prefers music CLEARLY other people CLEARLY prefer her music (look at c&gi,then look at spring breakers/getaway)

The only people who overrate her acting skills are her stans so I'd say yes.

I don't think she's that strong of an actor but she acts better than she sings, even if it's not that hard. She should take better roles I mean The Getaway and Behaving Badly I'd like to see her in 13 Reasons Why, wasn't this also offered to her/fans saying she's actually doing the movie? Maybe she can show in those kind of movies if she has serious acting skills.

She's the kind of actress that makes family and basic movies for kids... her crying scene in Spring Breakers was good though, the rest wasn't too credible so I wasn't surprised her role disappeared after the first 30 minutes

Yeah because her role in Waberly Place (comedy) didn't seem forced... like AT ALL

I think the better question is "Is the OP obssessed with Selena?" and I think we all know the answer to that one.

I've never heard or seen anyone praise her acting skills or comment on them in any way, ever (young gay guys do not count). So shes neither underrated or overrated. Shes just Selena Gomez and sometimes she acts and sometimes she sings, people don't really care what shes actually doing they just find her attractive and young. Thats her appeal, talent or even a lack thereof is irrelevant in her case.

You realize it wasn't her acting that was the problem...did you hear the lines the characters had to say? smh...
