1. Blackground - JoJo's story
2. Hollywood Records - flops, where Disney ships the risque girls when they used them up and sucked them dry
3. Epic - are they bankrupt yet
4. RCA - ruining potential hit careers for ***** and giggles
5. Interscope - front-loaded promotion for major acts and then they lose steam in supporting them after 2 months
Unless you're on Capitol or Def Jam, go independent
RCA. look at britney, ha first flop album, and it just happened to be her first era with them (albeit there were other issues, but they really are the pits)
All I know by now is that CAPITOL is the best record label...
Only if you're Katy Perry. Sky Ferreira has more than like 5 unreleased albums that they said no to. They've tried controlling her so much. When her album was finally coming out, they didn't even have the CDs or vinyl ready until like more than a month after the release. They're one of the worst.
Interscope is really shady and I don't like that my fave is with them but tbh they're probably one of the more effective labels. I just don't like it for personal reasons.
Epic has to be the worst "major" label.
I wish more of you were informed about just how terrible Epic Records is. They ****ed up the career of the only definite money maker on their entire roster completely beyond repair. Sites are reporting that they are going to go bankrupt because of Avril's album flopping but in reality it's their own damn faults for doing EVERYTHING wrong.

RCA (My December.)
Epic (Flop promotion)
Hollywood (Bad timing of releases)
Warner Bros. (The Veronicas, Neon Hitch, and Michelle Branch were all in limbo)
I know Capitol has done wrong to some of their artists like Alexz Johnson (and as somebody said Sky Ferreira but I'm not too familiar with her situation), but they're the best major record label at the moment.
