Being a sexual orientation doesn't fall under the category of mainstream or underrated. That's really dumb and ignorant to say that. There were plenty of gays back then and even so people don't come out as gay to fit the mold. If anything it's the exact opposite.
Oh yeah, I definitely miss when discrimination against gay people was normal, it was illegal to get married in every state, there were little to no positive gay images on television or in film, and we had a president determined that gay marriage would never happened. Nothing was quite as great as shaming kids into staying in the closet and the ridiculously high suicide rates. What kind of f**king stupid question is this? Human sexuality isn't some kind of hipster ******** that should be demeaned because more people are aware of it and thinking positively about it.
