OOTB remains Katy's best album and ARTPOP remains Gaga's best (not counting TFM )

Why are the Katy stans bringing up sales to justify quality? This is a thread about personal opinion on the album.

At least when Gaga was slaying there was no need to resort to sales because the music was good already.

PRISM : 2,500,000 --> 3 singles, 3 videos, a 4th single is coming. #2 huge hits in the US.
ARTPOP : 1,700,000 (released 3 weeks after PRISM, let's not forget). 2 singles, 1 video, no current single being exploited on radio.

Less than 1,000,000 copies between both. I'm ok with that, really.

I don't understand why ARTPOP is winning this poll. Almost all the songs on that album are irritating, messy, annoying and has unequal balance with vocals and instrumentals and has very unrelatable lyrics. The only relatively good songs are Aura and Do What U Want. Songs like Venus and Donatella fall under the irritating and annoying category along with mesy and so does Gypsy because of it's production and more.

PRISM isn't as good as Teenage Dream, but it is MILES better than ARTPOP. Some of the songs on it get old quickly thanks to Dr. Luke's production such as Birthday and International Smile, but it still has high moments like Dark Horse, Legendary Lovers, By The Grace of God and It Takes Two.

The GP agrees since PRISM has done much better worldwide.

People have different opinions. you don't like ARTPOP, good for you. More people on ATRL like ARTPOP. You don't have to understand it, but to accept it.

Wow, that's very petty and pathetic on their part! So glad KARMA took care of it in the end.

ARTPOP really isn't the commercial disaster everyone makes out it is. Taking into consideration the circumstances/current state of the era, it's doing better than most would do.
