Queer as Folk is a cliche mess

Is QaF as sexual as this show ????

If so I may give it a chance

I watched QaF 2 years ago. I got the DVDs and immediately fell in love with it and the characters. It's waaaay more enjoyable than Looking. It's not for old people as I'm only 22 and I loved it.
Oh and all of you saying is cliché, have you seen the crap that goes on in Looking. Looking is way more predictable. Let's be honest with that.
Also stereotypes exist because they are true most of time and makes many people relate to it.
By the way, what was so cliché about QaF? The characters were edgy and original.
Comparing it to Looking is an insult tbh, we only brought it out of kindness so people have something to hold them over until Season2 starts.

those that love QAF and those that love Looking...the divide is so intriguing to me.

I will always have a special place in my heart for QAF, but I prefer Looking's writing and acting. But also, there's only been 8 episodes of Looking and I've seen all 83 episodes of QAF.

at the end, I was really just committed to finishing the show. but QAF came along at a time in my life when I didn't have access to any other gay-themed television shows...it was sort of all I had. like I said, still much prefer Looking.

I love Queer As Folk, but its so over the top that it doesn't even seem real half the time. I thought about watching it just before Looking began but I just never did. I think I watched about a quarter of the North American series when it was still on the air.

Yeah, let's not diss Queer as Folk... it had great characters/relationships.

QaF is great but it's aimed at an entirely different audience and with a completely different social context than Looking.

Seriously, QAF is 83 episodes long and an hour long? Jesus, started the first season last year but just drifted away.

I would like for there to be a DVD release with extended episodes. Like I really feel they missed out by making this only 30 minutes long.

Maybe next season they'll make hour long ones.

A number of people have mentioned to me they wish the show was an hour instead of just 30 minutes. Is there any chance of that happening? Have the parameters changed for the next season at all?

(Laughs.) I hate to disappoint your friends but, yes, we will be a half hour again. I mean that's just kind of the way the show has developed and it's going to stay in the half hour realm. I think that is like the greatest compliment ever though. Something else said that to me that they wished it was an hour and we couldn't be more flattered that people want to feel like it's not enough and they want more.

Do you know if you'll have more episodes though? For example, when "GIRLS" came back and this year they had 12. They had more episodes than they did in each of the first two seasons.

Yes, there is a chance there will be more than eight. We're still waiting to hear how many exactly, but we're hopeful that we'll get more episodes to tell a bigger story, but we just don't know yet.
