I don't understand why people think albums are expensive. Sure, sometimes the Deluxe/Special Editions and re-release are a con, but as a whole, albums are not over priced.
Besides, nowadays you have the luxury of trying out an album before you buy it. You can access the entire album for free on Youtube/Spotify/Streams. Years ago, people just had to buy the record to hear it. People use the "music is overpriced" excuse to justify illegal downloads, it's a load of rubbish. They download it illegally because the option is there, where as with clothes/food you have no choice but to buy your own.
As a musician, I find it frustrating that people often can't appreciate the time, money and work that goes into creating music. In the end of it all, around £10 isn't much to ask for an album if you're going to enjoy the music and play it a lot.
