This past Saturday was horrible at my job. I've been working at Target for 5 months now and they recently trained me to be at the Guest Service desk so I can serve as back up whenever help is needed. On Saturday two of the main people who were supposed to work that day called out so they put me there. It was alright for about the first hour and then it started getting hectic around the afternoon. , I was the only person working at Guest Services, meaning I had to do sorting, manage photo, AND deal with the hordes of guests all by myself! I called for backup at least 3 times from my register and called twice over the walkie, and I got a patronizing response from the executive team lead at the second time “nobody is free now, handle it yourself” News flash bitch, when I call for backup and it’s that desperate, it’s YOUR responsibility to back me up! I had a line over 15 people long of guests I had to handle, so naturally I didn’t have time to sort the mountains of stuff brought back to me. There were around 6 full carts of stuff piled on the side that I couldn’t get to because I had to help the guests! So when this team lead walked by guest services, she laughed to herself and said “this is the worst I’ve ever seen guest services! what do you have to say for yourself?” I was so tempted to just lose my **** and put her on blast in front of everybody.

I'm currently looking for a new job. I don't need that **** from anybody.

Mostly retail. Once working at a restaurant, I got threatened because some rednecks wanted a discount on their food that wasn't allowed. They all started to huddle around me but the manager stepped in. I was only like barely 16!

Then they got taken over like a year later and hired a whole new staff, including this insane bitch who would speak in Chinese to me. And only speak in Chinese when it was me, her and another Chinese worker working together, to exclude me. She even shouted at me in front of customers once because I gave them milk from the latte machine (that was in the fridge and in date), instead of the regular stuff. It somehow got back to the new manager and she never put us on the same shifts again. She had anger issues for sure. It sucked, because the other chinese girl was the polar opposite of her. We would talk about her husband, her desire for kids, how she plans on going back to China... She was such a sweetheart!

Another time (recently) was dealing with complete assholes who have more money than sense and are way too entitled.
