No. It all comes down to personal taste.

Not really. Sometimes if I'm not quite convinced on a song, I'll look at a review that might point out a cool lyric or something in the production that I missed which would make the song more enjoyable. Apart from that, I like what I like and I don't really care if others do or not.

Not at all... Music, especially commerical cannot be judged by group of people, when it just comes to the taste. That's the difference in movies and music. You can tell when movie is good, you can really tell when actors are amazing in parts, but in music? When everything is sooooo commercial, how can you listen to group of people who tries to judge? Especially Grammy's... Beyonce has 100's of them, and will get another 100 this year, but does she even care? She would prefer to have that one OSCAR. Critics don't matter in music, Britney has only 1 Grammy (not amazing voice, though), but she has had amazing career, so I don't think she cared, she wasn't even on Grammy's. Avril lavigne doesn't have a Grammy, did she care? IDTS.... Man, I love Katy Perry but no one will tell me she's better singer than Avril but Grammy's do tell so, so there's that. I don't care about music 'critics'.

Literally never. I don't get the point of having somebody else tell me whether something is good or not. I decide for myself if I think it's good. There's no point to critics. Just some random person spewing their personal opinion on something.

Idk, maybe they are. Anyway you don't have to be a professional in a field yourself to have some kind of clue about the stuff you're reviewing. A lot comes with listening experience and exchange with other passionate reviewers and critics of the same or similar genres of music.

Let's not do too much on the critics now.

I take what they say a little but not a lot especially when it comes to music. For film I'm more open to accept what they say.
