Except for the time in middle school after 9/11, I got called Turban Head and Sand Ni**a. Punched the guy in the face and ran. Probably not the best thing to do but it felt gewwwd.
So many blacks on ATRL do this and I really don't get their logic. The white supremacy-enforcing government is to blame, not everyday white people that you pass by along the street

I agree with that to a certain degree. I hate how in racial threads a lot of people start calling the white people in the thread different types of **** and act so hostile towards them. It's just a vicious circle. You can't demand/expect respect from them when you're being disrespectful yourself. I'm black and i don't get that at all. It's the stupidest thing I see up here.
But, anyway, I haven't experienced true racism directly. I've heard a few politically incorrect jokes from time to time but I never felt discriminated or made a target because I'm black. I'm passive towards SOME things. I'm not quick to label anyone as being racist and I'm not sensitive/or easily offended, so if someone makes a stupid joke, I'm not going to go apeshit. But if it becomes an ongoing thing and it gets out of hand, I WILL call them out on it. I'm not going to lie. I make a few racially insensitive jokes from time to time, so that's probably why I understand where some people are coming from when they say that they're not a racist because they make a joke. When I joke, my intentions aren't mean to be offensive/racist, so I'm going to be hypocritical and jump down their back over one offense
