The last two generations and three set of games were announced in January and February of 2010, 2012 and 2013. We're in March now and we still don't have any news on the rumored Ruby and Sapphire remakes or the supposed Pokémon Z.
Pokémon's power is in a certain way comparable with Beyoncé's. Both huge forces in the 90's and early 2000's and even though it kinda slowed down when the years passed, they're still one of the biggest critically acclaimed and best-selling powerhouses in their respective markets.
Will Gamefreak and Nintendo pull a BEYONCÉ and put the new games on the Nintendo 3DS e-Shop somewhere in Q3 with no announcement? Will we get something new in the form of DLC this year? Or are they afraid they'll lose more than gain with this strategy?
I hope not
The pokemonsters are not a patient people, we need our hype, we need something to count on, to expect
Something to discuss or else the thread would be a dusty mess
I would be HERE for them dropping RUBY & SAPPHIRÉ in the dark of night
Not me breaking my louboutin heels running to the Gamestop near my school
But kii @ GameFreak doing anything innovative or at the very least "current" (much less unexpected) when they haven't even given us DLC, nor upgraded to decent servers until catastrophe struck. We will be getting Z or RSE2 after an announcement at some Japanese tv show, with several long months of slow, gradual leaks to keep us thirsty.
