The plot of the show:
Quote:
In the family drama set in the world of a hip-hop empire, Taraji P. Henson will play Cookie Lyon, the ex-wife of Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard), the head of a record label at the center of the drama. The character is described as a total badass who has just been released from prison after serving 17 years for dealing drugs -- money she funneled into Lucious' then-fledgling music empire. Released for good behavior, she now wants what's hers. She's the real force behind his rise to superstardom and champions her son Jamal's (Jussie Smollett) career, but that puts her at odds with her ex, who has an issue with their son's homosexuality.
Was this the job Gabby was talking about when people were bashing her?
The plot is everything. Why is it on Fox though?
I'm going to watch and pray it doesn't get canceled. Black people unite and support this series. That is what Fox and I are hoping for. And please don't put this on when Scandal is on.

Yes, I am so glad more African-American actors are getting jobs on wonderful (fingers crossed this show is good, Lee Daniels can be so hit and miss) shows, I will be supporting this show because the cast and the plot are everything.
