I think 2007 was america's last iconic year. britney's meltdown, last year of economic prosperity, tmz take over, the music , myspace, perez hilton.com, emo/gothic people, paris hilton, las vegas, L.A., Thousand Oaks , etc. etc.

I feel like half the people in here don't even remember 2007 It was alright, but it was a celebrity-obsessed/Hollister wearing mess. The music was pretty great but that was about it. Besides, that was the year the market began to head downwards. And NOT people acting like a celeb's breakdown was iconic..it was heartbreaking and actually shocking when it happened. There hasn't been any breakdown close to her's since.

2007 was pretty great.
2009 & 2010 were pretty hectic to. I mean lady gaga, ha peak, Rihanna clocking those number one hits back and forth, the Kanye west vs taylor incident, twitter & Facebook becoming popular etc.

I loved 2011-2013 with the exception of a bit of the music in 2012.
