My mom isn't a bigot or anything, but she doesn't actively support the LGBT community. She's more of a "I don't care what consenting adults get up to in their bedroom" than a PFLAG member.

my mom knows im gay and she accepts it, but i feel like she is the type of straight person that accepts it but still has ignorant misconceptions and says things that she doesnt realize is offensive or could be taken as offensive by other gays. my dad is just a flat out homophobe
