This is a little bit too pathetic for me.

I'd like to be able to walk down the street holding my boyfriend's hand without being called a "******". but I guess personal safety is a privilege.
I'd like to be able to be openly gay in my place of work without fearing that I'll be fired since that's legal in my state, but I guess having a job so I can buy food and pay my bills is a privilege.
I'd like to be able to get married to my boyfriend in the future so we can adopt kids and both be legal guardians, be able to visit each other in hospitals, be able to file taxes together, own a home together, open a business together, and the dozens of other things married couples can do, but I guess equality is a privilege.
(But you are right, black people have gone through and continue to go through worse than gay people do and no one can deny or refute that.)
Calling gay marriage "extra" implies gays are equal and they're not so this guy makes no sense.
