Apparently the women this happens to are so in denial that they attribute their symptoms to everything else. Kicking is some sort of indigestion or other sickness, weight gain is just unexplainable weight gain, lack of periods is just being super irregular (pregnant women do experience some bleeding), changes in diet/cravings are just whatever, I guess...
it's kind of fascinating tbh
