I really do not understand why in 2014 people still wear the skin of an innocent, slaughtered animal that has been skinned alive. It's the height of vanity and selfishness. Especially when perfectly suitable alternatives exist. So, what is your opinion. Should people still wear real fur?
(Kind of expecting a yes on this site, but let's hope not)
Sure, why not.
It's not like not wearing fur makes any sort of impact on the disgraceful state we've left this planet in already, other than leaving a few animals to suffer later in life.
I literally don't see the difference between killing a cow to eat its meat, and killing a fox to wear its fur.
Yet eating meat is not a taboo.
Eating meat is a form of sustenance and provides energy and nutrients. It helps some people live.
Skinning an animal an wearing it's fur is just sheer vanity and DOES NOT need to happen.
No, it's not ok to wear real fur.
Although I don't understand why people think it's cruel for an animal to be slaughtered for it's fur yet they still eat meat and wear leather. Same principles, you'll probably find an animal used for fur probably has better living conditions than cows in a slaughterhouse

but like faux fur, there are many healthy alternatives to eating meat, which can provide the same nutrients and more than meat alone

What about vegan people? They don't eat meat, and they don't need it to live.
