It's mostly just PRISM receipts that are inaccurate, which we have the PRISM era thread for.

in the intro video of her x-factor performance back im mid December we saw that she sold 96M records worldwide...is it safe to say that now, 2 months later, she passed the 100M mark?

I got bored and did this:
1) Firework 13,100,000
2) Roar 12,400,000
3) California Gurls 11,200,000
4) Hot n Cold 11,150,000
5) E.T. 10,150,000
6) I Kissed a Girl 10,150,000
7) Teenage Dream 8,800,000
8) Dark Horse 7,100,000
9) Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.) 6,500,000
10) Wide Awake 5,600,000
11) Part of Me 5,200,000
12) The One That Got Away 4,200,000
13) Waking Up in Vegas 3,500,000
14) Thinking of You 1,800,000
15) Unconditionally 1,600,000
And I don't mean I just whipped up these estimations or pulled them out of my ass; it takes a long time for me to do global estimates like these.
Basically I used models of Roar, IKAG, and Cali Gurls' sales in the us and applied the approximate growth rates to their IFPI sales to derive a global total, and from there used a model to estimate global sales of each other track by summing all the known, verified sales of every track and deriving with that a multiplier from the aforementioned three IFPI entrants' statistics.

^ The Top8 seems really accurate. Except E.T which is heavily overestimated IMO.
The rest is heavily overestimated too (10, 11 & 13 were local; for some reason 12 is missing ), except for ToY & Uncle.

A mess at me not being able to count, but I was a bit iffy on the middle few, yeah. E.T. seemed a little high to me, but it did do REALLY well in the US while IKAG did worse there but better elsewhere, so it kinda looked okay to me.
ToY and Uncle are the ugly ducklings - really beautiful swans that everyone underrated.

That seems pretty accurate except you're about ~10m overestimating.
Gives a total of 112m which without PRISM is 90m
