"I got a lot of emails asking me to create a doll like that. And that's why I created Lammily," Lam says. "I wanted to show that a doll doesn't need to be designed with unrealistic proportions to look good. You can make her with average proportions and she'll look beautiful."

"Right now, there is no doll like this on the market in the same product category and price range as other fashion dolls," he says. "I think that parents and children deserve to have more choices when they are buying a fashion doll."
