I miss when they actually went places for Summer and had cool performances and stuff......2004 was the best year for MTV in my opinion because:

-Spring Break was a week long
-VIDEO CLASH EVERY MORNING!
-our votes mattered on TRL + you can call in to vote
-TRL retired videos
-It was LIVE
-MTV actually made intros and outros for Spring Break and Summer on the Run and for the VMAs..i still have the Summer on the Run jingle in my head

Not only is TRL dead, but the whole MTV Networks are dead as well.
MTV2 has been dead ever since the needless relaunch of 2005 and MTV as a whole died about a year to 1.5 years ago, and worse yet, the once-reliable MTV News department is dead. VH1 is 1/3 dead (during music video blocks), BET has long been non-existent except for rap all day, and also Fuse has gotten worse in the last year (but still better than MTV for now.) and moreso the last 3-4 months, because Fuse has gotten more and more away from its roots from a primarily a rock station to a mainstream w/rock channel.
What you should do instead of watching TRL, watch Fuse's SURS or go out and do something, as I have done.

I put yes, but I think that the producers aren't really giving a **** of what we think so it probably won't get cancelled for a while. MTV Either Has 2 Choices To Do With TRL.IMO.Cancel It Or Revamped The Show Completely.
I Doubt They'll Cancelling It But Maybe Major Revamp is what they need.TRL Started Going Downhill When They Took Fridays and 1 to 2 weeks off.IMO. They Occured During 04/05 I Think.Well Thats My 2 cents.
