Given the major success of The Lego Movie, should Super Mario Bros. and Friends get their own movie? Behind Lego, Mario is one of the biggest franchises in children's toys that will attract current kids as well as those of us in our 20's that are feeling nostalgic. I would watch it tbh. The video game already had a story line, so I can see that adapting to the big screen.
I feel like Pixar could do it way more justice + there won't be that many, if any differences, in the story aesthetics this time considering that the series is obviously way more iconic than it was 20 years ago.
I feel like they wouldn't dare do it bc of the original tho.
Nintendo should pitch it to Disney. They may actually consider it since they have a semi close relationship. Then Mario can show up at Disney parks. This would be great for both companies.
I think it's been said that Mario may be featured in Wreck It Ralph 2?
Let's see how the Ratchet & Clank movies goes.
Just considering R&C games have MASSIVE stories and very thought out characters, so if they produce a good film and it still fails, then no one would be here for Mario.
I mean Pokemon is much bigger than Mario in terms of story, characters etc. and yet those films only did average and then fell off the map not long after.

You think a Ratchet and Clank movie is going to do anything at the box office?
