I used to use this word cause I thought it just meant "stupid". I don't use it anymore and I understand why it can be offensive to some people. Who am I to judge what's offensive and what's not?
This makes me think of the campaign in my country against the word 'cancer' in street talk (yes people use cancer as a slur here).
It was useless tho, it's ingrained into the language of young people, I think it's too late for this campaign as well but I wish everyone the best of luck.
